This Cookie Policy explains how Times Dental uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and customer portal. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how we handle personal data more generally.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to keep you securely signed in. We also use technologies that work similarly to cookies, such as browser local storage, and refer to all of these collectively as “cookies” in this policy. Cookies set by the website you are visiting are “first-party” cookies; cookies set by another domain are “third-party” cookies.
2. How we use cookies
Times Dental uses only a small number of cookies. We do not use cookies for advertising, cross-site tracking, profiling, or third-party analytics. The cookies we set fall into two categories.
2.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These are essential for the Service to operate. They keep you signed in and protect your account against cross-site request forgery. Without them the portal cannot work, so they cannot be switched off through our systems, and under data protection law they do not require your consent.

2.2 Functional / preference cookies
These remember the choices you make so we can give you a more personal experience. They are not essential, but they make the Service easier to use. If you are signed in, your language preference is also saved to your account so it follows you across devices.
| Cookie |
Purpose |
Expiry |
locale |
Remembers your chosen interface language (English or Romanian) so you don’t have to set it on every visit. |
1 year |
3. Third-party services
We keep third-party services to a minimum. We load typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com) so the Service displays consistently. Google Fonts does not set cookies on your device, but to deliver the fonts your browser connects to Google’s servers, which means Google receives your IP address. This is described in Google’s Privacy Policy.
We do not use Google Analytics, advertising networks, social media pixels, or any other third-party tracking technology on the Service.
4. Real-time chat and translation
The customer portal includes a real-time chat with our lab team. Chat connections rely on the strictly necessary session and CSRF cookies above to authorise your connection. Messages may be machine-translated between English and Romanian so each participant reads them in their preferred language; this processing does not involve additional cookies.
5. How to manage or disable cookies
Because we only use strictly necessary and functional cookies, there is no separate consent banner to manage. You can still control cookies through your browser settings — most browsers let you block all cookies, block third-party cookies only, or delete existing cookies.
- If you block our strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in or use the customer portal.
- If you block the locale cookie, your language choice simply won’t be remembered between visits.
Browser guidance is available from Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari and Microsoft Edge support pages.
6. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for legal reasons. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you.
